Tactical fantasy JRPG
Guild Saga: Vanished World is a premium role-playing game for PC developed by Ocelot. It is a JRPG featuring retro pixel graphics and fantasy themes. In it, players will take charge of a party of heroes who find themselves stranded on a strange island filled with all kinds of unknown dangers.
Much like Chained Echoes or Songs of Conquest, Guild Saga: Vanished World features tactical turn-based combat that allows players to plan and strategize their moves ahead. Newcomers can give the demo a try in anticipation of the game's release, which is slated for October 10, 2024.
Stranded and marooned
Guild Saga: Vanished World takes place in the fantasy realm of Aarde wherein you play as a recruit on your first mission on behalf of the Heroes Guild. However, your ship gets hit by a deadly storm, stranding you on Respite Island. Fight your way through pirates, ferocious monsters, and other unsavory characters as you navigate this mysterious place and learn of its secrets.
The game features extensive character customization options that let you create your ideal party. Level up from battles and raise your core stats and attributes. There are over 100 skills spread across 10 class specializations to choose from and assign to each member of your team. They are complemented by the thousands of items you can collect and craft to enhance your powers even more.
What's more, the main campaign in Guild Saga: Vanished World features branching paths wherein your choices matter and shape events as you play. Interact and form connections with various characters and learn of the island's secrets. Now, as of this writing, there are still a few months left before the game's release. That said, it will come out in Early Access, so the game is still not complete.
No respite
From the get-go, Guild Saga: Vanished World thrusts you into the action as you navigate a dangerous island and prove your mettle as a warrior. From the extensive character customization to the tactical battles and exploration, there's a lot on offer in this game. If you liked what you played in the demo, keep this on your radar and watch out for its release.
